Corporate Social Responsibility

At Transition, we are driven by a powerful passion:
to combat waste in all its forms.

We are resolute in our commitment to reducing waste, whether it’s in the form of time-consuming processes or the surplus remnants resulting from corporate relocations. The magnitude of this waste is staggering, encompassing a vast array of items, ranging from furniture and kitchenware to stationery and storage materials – anything that deems itself unusable within a corporate setting.

For over a decade, our team has repurposed safe and high-quality items a cornerstone of our duty to the community and our precious planet. Sealed and salvageable items are selected and presented to a diverse range of charitable organisations, enabling them to find new purpose and meaning. By preventing every valuable item from finding its way into landfill, Transition contributes to the incredible strides made by our valued charity partners, who tirelessly pursue positive outcomes for those in need.

A few of our charity partners include:

The Girls & Boys Brigade

The Girls & Boys Brigade

One of our corporate charities is The Girls & Boys Brigade. Supporting children and youth in need by providing educational and recreational opportunities that build life skills as a foundation for a brighter future. Since 1882, The Girls & Boys Brigade has provided a welcoming, safe place for children and youth, aged 5-18, who need a helping hand across Australia.

Just Reinvest NSW

Transition proudly assists Just Reinvest NSW. This is an amazing programme reinvesting as a way of reducing Aboriginal incarceration, by implementing strategies that address the drivers into the criminal justice system, led by the community and informed by data.

These strategies contribute to broader systemic reform in education, healthcare, and child protection.

Just Reinvest NSW (JRNSW) supports Aboriginal communities to develop their own solutions for change, making them safer and more just. Our goal is to reduce Aboriginal People’s interactions within the criminal justice system.

The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS)

During the devastating bushfires across NSW in the summer of 2019/2020, Transition donated truckloads of supplies to regional RFS depots. Additionally, Transition assisted families that lost their homes in Cobargo by collecting & delivering much needed clothing, furniture, white goods, kitchen items.

The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is the lead combat agency for bush fires in NSW. For over 100 years we have been a significant part of the history and landscape of NSW. Working closely with other agencies we respond to a range of emergencies including structure fires, motor vehicle accidents and storms that occur within rural fire districts.

The NSW RFS is widely acknowledged as the largest volunteer fire service in the world. Members of the NSW RFS are trained to very high levels of competence to ensure they know what to do in an emergency.
